Sonia and Amitabh. Kudos to the Indian voters, they gave the Congress an unexpected victory and proved the polls and the pundits so wrong. Message: globalization needs a human face, the single most important investment is to be in human capital. An Italian-born Sonia will now be prime minister. Imagine a foreign-born woman in the White House! The largest democracy beats the oldest.

Amitabh Bachchan has more film releases slated for 2004 than Shah Rukh Khan. The Big B is not about to slow down. And he relaunched his company. I grew up watching the guy. Used to imitate his hairstyle.

I don't see a town or a city that I don't like; I'd like to expand my business into all of them. Any other job would have been a distraction - I'd have been spending the better parts of my waking hours thinking about stuff nothing to do with my business - but on the road I get to think about my business all the time. The motion aids the thought process; the gas prices hit sky-high, so I could not drive around in my car for too long. I can pop in a CD or a tape anytime and learn a few more tips, get a few more success stories. I am making Platinum income as is. The money is not bad: in the top 20% income bracket in the country. And when off the road, and at stops, I get to read. Books that help me with the business. A big chunk of my time goes into enhancing the education and support system I have designed for my business team.

And there is contacting people. Because the business is online, everyone you meet is potential clientele. But it's a numbers game. You contact a whole bunch ang "get" a few. And that first step is a great experience: you meet all kinds of people. Of course, every two weeks I am in Terre Haute, Indiana, for the weekend, trying to grow my local teams in Terre Haute and Bloomington.

Once in a while you get that barely-above-the-factory-floor-job-in-the-scheme-of-things-look from people, and it draws your attention to the socio-economic schisms when you have been more used to thinking of the ethnic-cultural-racial schisms. But then what better preparation for a coast to coast business than a greater familiarity with the 51st state! Chances are this fourth stint will not exceed six months either. Besides, Michael Jordan retired from basketball, but then came back for a second dip, did he not?
